Where to go for support and advice is Brighton

National Citizen Service (NCS) – Brighton

The National Citizen Service (NCS) is a four week programme over the summer for young people aged 15-17. The programme consists of two residential weeks away, with weekends off. The first week is where young people will be placed into teams and get a chance to try new and exciting outdoor adventures in Wales, followed by the second week where they will stay at the university of sussex and take part in learning new skills that will become useful in life as well as getting an understanding of independent living. Following these two weeks the young people in their teams will devise and develop a social action project based around a community or charity of the choosing. Finally in the fourth week they will deliver this project they have planned and complete the programme.
